Filogènies moleculars, diversificació ecològica, etològica i morfològica
El desenvolupament de la tecnologia de l’ADN està aconseguint grans progressos en el coneixement de l’arbre de la vida. A banda de descobrir les relacions ancestral entre les espècies d’amfibis i rèptils actuals, és possible també analitzar els processos evolutius que han donat lloc a una ràpida i explosiva diversitat (radiacions adaptatives) morfològica, ecològica i etològica en aquest grup. El meu treball es basa en grups força diferents com les granotes mantèlides de Madagascar, els geckos d’Austràlia o els llangardaixos lacèrtids i es fa en colaboració amb Dr. Salvador Carranza (Institut de Biologia Evolutiva-CSIC) o Miguel Vences (Universitat de Braunschweig).
